An American Muslim community leader, Osama Abu Irshaid is the Executive Director of Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP and Action), and the Executive Director American Muslims for Palestine (AMP). He is a board member of the US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), an umbrella organisation of eight major national American Muslim organisations. He is a non-resident scholar at the Doha-based Arab Centre for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS), and lectures frequently on Middle East and American politics. He is a regular commentator on Palestinian and Middle Eastern affairs, and on American domestic and foreign policy on various Arabic satellite channels such as AlJazeera. He authored or coauthored several books (Arabic) and published dozens of studies and articles (Arabic and English), on issues relevant to the Middle East and its political climate. Abu Irshaid completed his PhD in Political Science at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom.
